Day 1 Pickup from entebbe

A Bamboo Ecotours representative will pick you up in Entebbe or downtown Kampala and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive to Bwindi National Park will go through western Uganda's significant towns, including Masaka, Mbarara, Ntungamo, and Kabale. There are two scheduled stopovers:

1) The Equator crossing for coffee and handicraft shopping.

2) Igongo cultural centre in Mbarara for lunch.

The drive will take
about 8- 9 hrs. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the lodge and rest for dinner and an overnight stay.

Note: If you are not interested in driving for up to 8 hours to get to Bwindi, you can take a one-way domestic flight from Entebbe Airport to Bwindi National Impenetrable Park for an extra fee. Aerolink Uganda organizes the flight

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Head straight to the park headquarters after an early breakfast for a vital safety and trek briefing. Your national park guide will assign you to a specific habituated gorilla family group.

The gorilla trek itself is an adventure that can last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending entirely on how deep the gorillas are inside the forest. Once you locate the family, you'll spend an unforgettable hour observing them. After the trek, transfer back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Note: Depending on the seasonal availability of gorilla trekking permits, we may sometimes suggest tracking the gorillas at the neighboring Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park via Queen Elizabeth NP & Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive north toward Kibale National Park, traveling through the scenic lower savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Upon arrival at the park, you will board an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This is a major highlight for wildlife viewing—expect to see massive pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, elephants cooling off at the water's edge, and an incredible array of bird species.

Following the boat cruise, continue the drive through the beautiful Fort Portal Highlands to Kibale National Park (approximately 3 hours). Dinner and overnight stay will be at your Kibale lodge

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale & Return to Kampala/Entebbe
