  • Activity: Optional Arusha town day tour or leisure time by the pool.
  • Overnight: Arusha Mid-Range Hotel (Meals: Bed & Breakfast)

  • Activity: Afternoon game drive tracing the Tarangire River and Silale Swamp.
  • Meals: Hot lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge; Dinner included.
  • Overnight: Lake Burunge Tented Lodge

Day 3/4: Lake Natron

Your guide will take you for an adventurous walk on the shores of the lake.
Being on the shore of Lake Natron as the sun rises is something you will never forget. Lake Natron is often described as having a lunar beauty. The lake gets its reddish color from salt-loving organisms and algae. Amazingly, 2.5 million flamingos make Lake Natron their home and it is one of their only breeding grounds.
You will have a chance to experience these incredible birds. Then, you'll return to the camp for breakfast before driving to Karatu where you will stay for the night.

Day 5/6: Serengeti National Park

Experience the thrill of an early morning game drive, a unique opportunity to witness wildlife in their most active state. Departing the lodge before sunrise at 6 am, you'll have the best chance to spot the big cats returning from a night of hunting, as well as other fascinating creatures, in the cool morning temperature. After the exhilarating game drive, you will be chauffeured back to the luxurious lodge for a leisurely breakfast. This will be followed by a pure relaxation break, allowing you to unwind in the comfort and serenity of your surroundings. Later in the day, you will have the opportunity to capture the breathtaking beauty of the African sunset during an afternoon game drive. This is a perfect time for stunning sunset photos, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, you will be rewarded with the game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the world’s largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano) which is a self-contained ecosystem with its own unique population of wildlife in a confined area of amazing variety. The crater boasts lots of lions, hyenas, fantastic birdlife, servals, Cape buffalos, zebras, and gorgeous landscapes.
There is also an added advantage of seeing rhinos if you are lucky. You will have your lunch in the crater and then continue with the game drive till sunset hours. Then, you'll drive to the rim where you will be led by a professional walking guide along the crater rim for a walk of about 2 hours. Here, a wealth of information can be gleaned from the smallest of tracks, including which animals have passed by recently, and whether they could still be in the area. The natural setting of the bush gives a thrilling aspect to the sightings, much more than a usual vehicle safari.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience

Drive 75 km to the shores of Lake Eyasi, a rugged soda lake home to some of Tanzania’s oldest traditional tribes.

  • Activity: Immerse yourself in the daily life of the Hadzabe bushmen and Datoga pastoralists. Observe ancient hunting displays, honey gathering, and fire-making techniques.
  • Overnight: Karatu Mid-Range Lodge (Meals: Full Board)

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park

Explore the diverse ecosystems of Lake Manyara, nestled tightly against the sheer 600-meter wall of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

  • Wildlife: Track blue monkeys and baboons in the groundwater forest, expanding onto the lake floodplains to spot pink flamingos and Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions.
  • Overnight: Lake Manyara/Karatu Mid-Range Lodge (Meals: Full Board)

Day 10: Departure

Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast at your lodge before your driver transfers you back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your outbound flight.
