Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by Jensen Glen Safari Transfer Driver and driven to your lodge where the remainder of the day is at leisure – rest in your room, enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool or explore Arusha and the surrounding areas.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

The drive to Tarangire National Park is about 110 Km and takes about 2 hours from Arusha. Tarangire National Park is a vast wilderness, renowned for its large herds of elephants, which can often be seen bathing in the Tarangire River. But it's not just elephants that make this park special. It’s also home to lions, leopards, and a myriad of bird species, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. The park's diverse landscapes, from the lush Silale Swamp to the rugged baobab-studded plains, offer a unique backdrop for wildlife sightings.

You will enjoy a hot lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge, followed by a thrilling game drive. As the day draws to a close, you'll be transported to the tranquil Farm of dreams Lodge, where you'll comfortably spend the night. A delicious dinner awaits you, providing the perfect end to an exciting day of wildlife exploration.

Day 3: Central Serengeti National Park

Today after breakfast, your driver guide will pick you from your lodge and you will drive to the famous Serengeti.

You will have the unique opportunity to visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional), where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children. This is a rare chance to learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.

The Central Serengeti is a sight to behold, with its spectacular “endless plains,” dotted with acacia trees and the occasional rocky kopjes. What is special about Central Serengeti is the wide-open spaces, driving through the miles and miles of animals as far as the eye can see and riverine forest.

You will have your lunch in the park and thereafter, continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will drive to an authentic intimate tented camp, a comfortable and secluded retreat set in the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti.

Day 4/5: Serengeti National Park

Today you will venture deeper into the world-famous Serengeti on a full day game drive in search of the great wildebeest migration.

Northern Serengeti is known as the hub of the great migration. The landscape is characterized by vast stretches of savannah interspersed with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River and visitors can view the annual spectacle of the half a million-migrating wildebeest. Commonly spotted wildlife include: a multitude of plains game such as buffalo, zebra, gazelles, impala, giraffe as well as lion and leopard.

You will have your lunch in the park thereafter continue with the game drive. In the late afternoon you will drive back to your camp.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Your day in and around Ngorongoro Crater could just be one of the most memorable of your whole safari. You’ll explore the crater rim and then drive down onto the crater floor, where the critically endangered black rhinos are the stars of an astonishing wildlife show. You’ll almost certainly see large-tusked elephants, at least one of the Ngorongoro’s four lion prides, and wandering clans of spotted hyenas. It also just happens to be one of Africa’s most beautiful corners, a hidden world where you’ll be surrounded by steep, deep-green crater walls, a salt lake, forests and hippo-filled waterways. You will have your lunch in the Crater and then continue with the game drive. You will drive back to your lodge for the night.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park

Imagine yourself in this lovely park, nestled between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. It's a place where you can witness the unique spectacle of a beautiful groundwater forest, home to blue monkeys, giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards, and a picturesque lake adorned with pink flamingos in the distance.

Stretching for 50km along the base of the majestic 600m high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic masterpiece, a setting that even Ernest Hemingway praised as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The road from the entrance gate winds through a lush jungle-like groundwater forest, where baboon troops lounge, blue monkeys scamper, bushbuck tread, and forest hornbills honk, creating a symphony of nature.

As part of your tour, you'll be treated to a delicious hot local lunch at one of our selected spots. In the late afternoon, you'll be chauffeured to your comfortable lodge for a relaxing overnight stay and a satisfying dinner.

Day 8: Departure

Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast at your lodge before your driver transfers you back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your outbound flight.
